It’s 5 weeks to go.

February 22nd, 2010

Hello All and Sundry,

The fear of god is coming into my life, with only 5 short weeks to Port. And as Tim Freedman of the Whitlam’s sang “We fall into old habits, talk about giving it up after getting right on, letter to your mother says you’re doing everything you can, and I’m glad that she won’t get the joke.” That just about sums it up at the minute. Riding long, running in the heat of the day, and making my smashed shoulder from last year ache a bit most days.

A couple of extra’s for your viewing pleasure: firstly there’s my strangely hairy hammies getting some dry needling courtesy of Andy Stephens (my physio). Oh, yes it hurts before, after and during. But in three more days, I’ll feel terrific. Until next week.(Needles in Hammies)

Secondly, I’ll be playing at the BRW this weekend- look out for Team Giant and Team Giro.

Thirdly, look out for the most recent addition of Australian Triathlete mag- in stores today. I rupture a blood vessel having a dip at the new WTC pro licence.

See you on the road,

Mitch

Finally thanks to Danny and Sian for their hospitality and for organising some sick break dancing. I apologise for my commentary, but it’s well worth a look at some excellent athletes at work.
